About The Position

The Coordinator for the Longitudinal Clerkship (LIC) at the College of Medicine - Phoenix plays a crucial role in supporting faculty and administration to enhance the medical student experience through curriculum management, assessment, and addressing student and site-specific needs. This position involves daily communication and collaboration with various departments, faculty, and students, serving as a liaison between the campus and numerous rural clinical sites. The role encompasses administrative functions, event planning, scheduling, budgeting, and program evaluation, while also requiring in-state travel and occasional evening or weekend hours.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent advanced learning attained through professional level experience required.
  • Three (3) years of relevant work experience, or equivalent combination of education and work experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience managing or coordinating academic and/or medical education programs.
  • Experience with a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) or web-based scheduling system.
  • Experience in data entry and management.
  • Knowledge of recent advancements in cybersecurity.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with faculty to support rural clinical rotations for third and fourth year medical students throughout the state.
  • Track all curricular requirements and ensure information is updated for grading and assessment.
  • Manage operational support, working directly with the LIC Director and other stakeholders.
  • Maintain and distribute information related to student rotations and schedules.
  • Initiate faculty title processes for new faculty engagement.
  • Understand and apply LCME Accreditation requirements for curriculum.
  • Manage course schedules with external stakeholders.
  • Support the rural health team in processing LIC assessments and evaluations.
  • Communicate with clinical sites regarding capacity and expansion for rotations.
  • Maintain accurate schedules in an online scheduling system.
