Your Mission: The Logistic Coordinator is responsible for scheduling non -residential customer deliveries out of all company distribution centers. This position is responsible for optimizing all routes and maximizing the truckload of product while meeting customers’ expectations. Additional responsibilities include; measure performance metrics (carrier performance, warehouse accuracy, freight savings, and on-time performance), assist with outbound delivery date calls, and resolving transportation and scheduling related issues with customers and our distribution partners.

Requirements

  • Background in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, Operations, or related discipline. Relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience including but not limited to logistics, operations, distribution, supply chain, and inventory control.
  • Self-motivated and self-directed with the ability to manage multiple priorities and solve problems.
  • A demonstrated track record of success in executing deliverables in a fast-paced, customer focused organization known for high standards and excellence.
  • Evidence of strong organizational, time management and prioritization skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Evidence of effective collaboration with sister companies and colleagues on performance metrics and cost-saving initiatives.
  • Demonstrated interpersonal, verbal, written and presentation communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate with vendors, customers and colleagues.
  • Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (specifically Excel and Word), email systems, database applications, CRM systems, web-based technologies, and website management applications.
  • Ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally using various means of transportation, while adhering to corporate travel policy.
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs. to assist at customer and community events or transporting marketing and sales materials.

Responsibilities

  • Schedule non-residential customer delivery dates for all company drivers using Direct Route software.
  • Route trucks and assign delivery dates and times one week prior to the week of delivery.
  • Develop, and maintain good business relationships with Customer Service and transportation operations in all distribution centers.
  • Measure performance metrics (carrier performance, warehouse accuracy, freight savings, and on-time performance).
  • Serve as the initial contact for addressing service and performance issues related to delivery dates and actual delivery.
  • Use data to develop and optimize strategies and processes to gain efficiencies and reduce costs.
  • Assist the Customer Care team with contacting customers with their scheduled delivery date and time of delivery.
  • Work with customers to resolve any issues related to transportation and scheduling.
  • Complete special projects and tasks as assigned.
