About The Position

Netflix is looking for an experienced Coordinator for our Licensing Team. The Coordinator will be a key member of the team licensing all formats for the global Netflix service. They will report to the Manager, Licensing, tracking and evaluating opportunities, providing critical support during deal negotiation, and operationalizing and managing executed deals. This role requires keen attention to detail, strong contractual understanding, and significant initiative. The ideal candidate will have an interest and experience in contract administration and project management, as well as the willingness to evolve with the needs of the team.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of related work experience at a media company and/or a legal adjacent role. Experience supporting deals in distribution, licensing, acquisition, etc. is a plus
  • Passion for film/TV and an in-depth understanding of the entertainment industry at a global level
  • Demonstrates good judgment and strong critical thinking skills
  • Proven communication skills; must be articulate and professional both in written and verbal forms
  • Ability to work proactively, independently, and reliably under tight timeframes in a fast-paced environment
  • High level of organization and detail that leads to an ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects
  • Strong experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint as well as their Google Suite counterparts

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the operationalization of content agreements, collaborating across departments including Content Operations, Rights, Legal, Marketing, and Finance
  • Provide ongoing deal management by reviewing, managing, and communicating contractual obligations between Netflix and our partners
  • Complete ad-hoc projects as needed. Examples include compiling in-depth research on competitor offerings and identifying opportunities to improve processes, tools, and systems
  • Contribute to strategic relationships with external content partners by working to support negotiation and resolve potential issues over the contract lifecycle
  • Track and evaluate potential content opportunities with new and existing suppliers with an eye toward the shifting landscape
