The Coordinator-Inventory Control at Baptist Health Arkansas is responsible for ensuring that requested supplies and equipment are provided to customers in a safe, timely, effective, and accurate manner. This role involves directing technician activities, processing customer billing, maintaining item information, managing PAR locations, executing count programs, and supporting supply chain changes to improve processes and reduce costs. The position also includes training coworkers and serving as the department's customer service representative.

  • Effectively work with customers to ensure requested supplies and equipment are provided safely and accurately.
  • Direct technician activities to satisfy daily supply needs.
  • Accurately process customer billing in a timely manner.
  • Maintain item information in the Closet Systems accurately and timely.
  • Design, establish, and manage assigned PAR locations, including monitoring and adjusting PAR levels and reorder information.
  • Execute the count program for assigned PAR locations and perpetual supply areas.
  • Support and participate in efforts to implement supply chain changes to improve processes and reduce costs.
  • Provide and assist with training of coworkers and volunteers.
  • Serve as the department's customer service representative.
  • Follow all Baptist Health and government policies and regulations.
  • Be cross-trained on all departmental duties and provide needed backup coverage.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 5 years of related experience in supply chain or college-level coursework in a business-related field.
  • At least 2 years of experience in supply chain, hospital experience preferred but not required.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a semi-self-directed manner.
  • Good communication skills and computer skills; ability to learn and apply new systems.
  • Strong attention to detail and follow-up skills.
  • Creative thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Flexibility and willingness to support change and take on new assignments.
  • Proven track record of dependability.
  • Experience in a hospital setting is preferred but not required.
