Coordinator Inpatient Clinical Registered Nurse RN
About The Position
POSITION SUMMARY: The RN Coordinator is responsible for coordinating, scheduling clinic personnel and supervising daily operations of assigned units . Directs the delivery of care by department personnel to ensure patient outcomes are achieved and high quality care is delivered. Fosters and maintains positive working relationships among staff, physicians and medical center personnel to ensure growth of services and programs offered. Works toward seamless care across the continuum. Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide patient care that is appropriate to the ages of the patients served.
Requirements
- Education: Bachelors of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Experience: Approximately two to three years progressively more responsible related work experience. The ability to gain professional competence in nursing care techniques and practices, to implement and administer budgets, policies and procedures, and to supervise daily operations of the Unit.
- Licensure/Certifications: Current Illinois RN License , CPR/BLS, ACLS, & PALS

- Certification: CAPA (Certificate American Board of Perianesthesia) & CPAN(Certified Post Anesthesia Nursing) certification
- Other skills or knowledge - Interpersonal skills necessary in order to provide effective leadership to assigned personnel, instruct; and comfort patients and their families, and maintain cooperative working relationships with physicians, Medical Center personnel, and external agencies and organizations o Analytical skills necessary in order to organize, schedule and monitor unit activities, implement effective nursing care procedures, and identify and resolve unit administration and patient care problems. The job incumbent is required to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide patient care appropriate to the age of the patients served on their assigned unit(s). This requires that the incumbent demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development as well as the physical, emotional, and psycho-social needs of the patient population served.
