To manage activities for a project or program. Essential Job Functions: Work with students, faculty and staff in the John Sealy John Sealy School of Medicine and in an academic health-science center, coordinating course activities related to students in Years 1 through 4 courses. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Serve as a liaison between and provide assistance to students and teaching faculty. Coordinate and provide support for courses in Years 1 through 4 as assigned. Ensure specified course goals and objectives are accomplished in accordance with academic policies and procedures. Maintain, update and revise course website(s) in Blackboard. Arrange and manage scheduling and room reservations. Arrange and attend course committee meetings, staff meetings and training sessions. Coordinate course lab activities as assigned. Create/edit/produce/publish educational and assessment materials. Proctoring SOM exams. Create Gradebook templates, prepare and confirm score calculations, post course scores and final grades. Maintain confidentiality and follow FERPA guidelines. Access, enter course and validate student grades via MyStar system. Maintain organized filing system (both digital and paper files) including required pre- and post-course checklists. Prepare files annually for records retention following appropriate guidelines. Support overall function of the Office of Educational Affairs, with other duties as assigned. This cross-functional position supports multiple functions across Educational Affairs with other duties as assigned. This position requires working physically and in-person at multiple locations across the Galveston campus. Performs related duties as required.
