About The Position

The Coordinator of Human Resources at One Brooklyn Health is responsible for performing a variety of clerical tasks to support the HR department. This includes greeting employees, managing calls, maintaining employee files, assisting with the onboarding process, and participating in the development of departmental goals and objectives. The role requires effective communication and interpersonal skills to establish and maintain relationships with employees and the public while ensuring compliance with employment regulations.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in HR or related field preferred.
  • Minimum two (2) years of progressive HR experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of principles, practices, and standards of human resource management in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with HR databases and related reporting is a plus.
  • Understanding of state and federal labor laws and regulations.
  • Analytical techniques applied to human resource management.
  • Proficiency in computer software utilized in human resource data collection and analysis.

Nice To Haves

  • Basic computer experience preferred.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Word, and Excel preferred.
  • Ability to follow oral and written instructions as directed.
  • Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently.
  • Good interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

  • Greet employees at the HR Reception desk and handle multiple calls.
  • Assist with the onboarding of employees, students, and volunteers.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, other agencies, and the public.
  • Maintain employee files up-to-date, including filing licensures and evaluations.
  • Ensure annual compliance with federal and state regulations concerning employment.
  • Participate in developing department goals, objectives, and systems.
  • Perform other related duties as required and assigned.
