The Coordinator for Health Sciences Continuing Education at Midland College is responsible for overseeing a variety of activities related to the development and management of continuing education programs and conferences in the health sciences field. This role involves coordinating course creation, marketing efforts, student advising, and registration processes, as well as data collection and community outreach initiatives. The Coordinator will work closely with the Dean of Health Sciences Continuing Education and Dual Credit to ensure that all programs meet the educational needs of students and comply with institutional standards. In this position, the Coordinator will maintain proficiency with the Higher Reach system, which includes entering course data, managing student information, and handling accounting tasks. The role also requires initial student advisement and coordination of the registration process, ensuring that all necessary documentation, such as immunization records and background checks, is collected and maintained. The Coordinator will oversee the production of student identification badges and provide support to instructors by assisting with room reservations, media equipment, and course scheduling. Additionally, the Coordinator will manage clinical site relationships, assist with scheduling, and maintain effective communication with affiliated organizations. Responsibilities also include creating and distributing course completion certifications, summarizing course evaluations, and collecting data on student success metrics. The Coordinator will play a key role in organizing community conferences and seminars, as well as developing marketing materials for the department. Other duties may be assigned as needed to support the overall goals of the Health Sciences Continuing Education programs.
