The Coordinator for Health Sciences Continuing Education at Midland College is responsible for a variety of activities related to the planning, execution, and management of continuing education programs and conferences in the health sciences field. This role involves course creation, marketing, student advising, registration, data collection, and community outreach. The Coordinator will work closely with the Dean of Health Sciences CE and Dual Credit to ensure that all programs are effectively coordinated and meet the needs of students and the community. The position requires a proactive approach to managing multiple tasks and responsibilities, ensuring that all aspects of the programs run smoothly and efficiently. In this role, the Coordinator will maintain proficiency with the Higher Reach system, which includes entering course data, managing student information, and handling accounting tasks. They will also be responsible for initial student advisement and coordinating the registration process, which includes managing course payment collections and maintaining accurate records of student registration requirements such as immunization records and background checks. The Coordinator will oversee the production of student identification badges and provide support to instructors by assisting with room reservations, media equipment, and course scheduling. Additionally, the Coordinator will manage clinical site relationships, assist with scheduling, and maintain effective communication with all stakeholders involved in the health sciences programs. They will also be tasked with creating and providing course completion certifications, collecting and summarizing course evaluations, and analyzing student data to measure success in terms of completion rates and employment outcomes. The role includes coordinating community conferences and seminars, developing marketing materials for the department, and assisting with accreditation applications as needed. Other duties may be assigned as required to support the overall mission of the Health Sciences Continuing Education programs.
