Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Develop, coordinate, and assess programs/events/activities in support of the mission of the Center for Student Involvement (CSI) and service programs.
  • Serve as the primary advisor for Mizzou Alternative Breaks, Tigers for a Cause, and Caring for Columbia; facilitate meetings, trainings, and necessary steps for programmatic success.
  • Provide training and development opportunities in risk management, leadership development, event planning, and advisor resources for student organization leaders.
  • Maintain knowledge of service learning and community engagement best practices and implement relevant strategies.
  • Use assessment data and feedback to continuously improve programs to meet current student needs.
  • Provide input on and implement an assigned budget to maximize student impact.
  • Work with students and staff to create fundraising and sponsorship revenue for various programs.
  • Create and present educational programming regarding volunteer best practices and current research.
  • Establish a system to track service and volunteer hours for students.
  • Develop and implement marketing campaigns for all programs in conjunction with the Division's Marketing and Communications team.
  • Develop and implement strategies for risk prevention and ensure compliance with university policies.
  • Collaborate with university stakeholders to develop programs that meet diverse needs.
  • Recruit, advise, and train a diverse student leadership for various programs.
  • May supervise graduate or undergraduate student workers.
  • Serve on departmental and divisional committees as needed.
