About The Position

The Coordinator for Residence Life and Student Conduct at California Lutheran University is responsible for fostering a supportive community and personal growth within the residence halls. Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree plus two years of professional experience in Residence Life, Housing Services, or Student Conduct, or a Master's degree in a related field.
• Valid California Driver's License.
• Experience in student development theory and student personnel administration.

Nice To Haves

• Master's degree in Student Affairs or Higher Education with one year of experience in Residence Life or Student Conduct.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and implement operational aspects of the Residence Life program.
• Participate in the recruitment, selection, training, and evaluation of Resident Assistants and Graduate Resident Directors.
• Create and maintain a safe environment for residents and respond to emergencies.
• Maintain regular interaction with residential students to address their concerns.
• Serve as a Student Conduct officer and facilitate administrative hearings.
• Develop and implement living-learning programs and initiatives for the residential community.
• Conduct staff meetings and provide guidance on student issues.
• Manage facility operations, including health and safety inspections.
• Maintain accurate records of residents, facilities, and student conduct cases.
• Participate in campus-wide programs and initiatives.
