About The Position

The Ethics Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the daily office operations, serving the needs of the center for excellence in ethics and the ethics consultation service, providing tactical planning for events, and collaborating with the members of the Ethics team on Ministry-wide projects and planning. This position will arrange/schedule meetings and travel; compose minutes/notes in ethics meetings. The Ethics Coordinator will work with each ethics committee leadership and administrative team, to orient and train ethics committee support teams in taking meeting minutes and filing the appropriate paperwork, for documentation of ethics committee members and their formation plans, education, and consultation work. The coordinator will be responsible for the ethics data management system and ensuring documentation is up to date. The coordinator will serve the needs of the system ethics committee and manage the repository of meeting notes and agendas for ethics committee work. This position assists in the handling of ethical issues and documents, such as preparing ethics research, assisting in preparing documents, editing presentations, and applying for continuous education credits as needed. The coordinator will be responsible for coordinating all of the documented activities for ethics across the system, to streamline and ensure best practices and consistent processes for ethics across the system.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • 2 years of progressively more responsible related work experience in a healthcare or Catholic parish setting.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Solid computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft software.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration.
  • Experience working with medical staff functions, medical/legal issues and law, regulatory requirements and standards.
  • Experience working with Catholic parishes or Catholic ministries.
