About The Position

The Coordinator, Consumer Public Relations for the Wonderful Company's Wine brands will support a dynamic team to showcase handcrafted wines through media relations, social media, event activations, influencer relations, and community outreach. This role involves managing event activations, maximizing media visibility, and contributing to strategic and creative thinking for a portfolio of global brands.

Requirements

  • At least 1 year of communications experience including wine, hospitality or luxury brand PR experience (ideal but not required) within an agency or corporate environment.
  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, English, Marketing, Events or Hospitality.
  • Demonstrates a passion for media relations and ability to secure branded results.
  • Skilled at event coordination and staffing.
  • Adapts to change, is open to new ideas, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent project management skills with demonstrated ability to multi-task and prioritize.
  • Accurate and consistent, and is well-tuned into attention to detail.
  • Self-motivated team player that rises to the occasion and takes ownership of projects; acts as a solution provider.
  • A creative and innovative mindset.
  • Strong understanding of social media platforms.
  • Knowledge of standard PR tools: MuckRack, PR Newswire/Businesswire, media monitoring services (preferred but not required).
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office suite - Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel etc.
  • Willingness to work non-traditional hours as many events occur in the evening and/or on weekends with up to 25% travel.

Responsibilities

  • Staff branded special events, food and wine festivals, national and regional trade shows, media tours and integrations, red carpet events and sampling programs.
  • Support trade and consumer media relations efforts, influencer programs and outreach including media list development.
  • Oversee media tracking and monitoring for the wine brands, packaging coverage and clips, and preparing seasonal and quarterly results grids.
  • Develop event briefings and itineraries, press materials, case studies and other correspondence, as appropriate.
  • Oversee product inventory and allocations, as well as archives of photos, artwork, and media clip files.
  • Collaborate closely with brand teams and work cross-functionally with marketing, advertising, research, and legal teams.
  • Assist in the development and execution of the influencer/celebrity outreach plan, focusing on building lasting and credible relationships with celebrity, cultural and influential tastemakers.
  • Help build the organic social strategy for the brand to showcase the lifestyle, people and properties behind each of the brands, including identifying UGC or owned images to share and drafting monthly social media editorial calendars.
  • Perform administrative responsibilities including scheduling meetings, creating agendas and meeting recaps, daily media monitoring and reporting.
