About The Position

The Coordinator, Community Health has a multifaceted role within the ambulatory areas incorporating the components of clinical practice, management, consultation, education, research, and current regulatory standards into the care of the organization’s community health patient populations. The nurse collaborates with the Manager and other ambulatory leaders to promote optimal care in the ambulatory areas. They lead employees, support organizational goals and decisions, implement necessary changes and participate in strategic planning for service needs and resource utilization. The nurse acts as an advisor on demonstrating compliance with regulatory standards in the ambulatory setting. They assist with developing and managing ambulatory projects, policies, procedures and programs that are related to systems within Enloe Medical Center. The nurse provides clinical oversight and support to clinicians and staff in the Community Health Department. They effectively manage human resources utilization, promote employee satisfaction, support staff development and utilize the progressive discipline process when appropriate. They work collaboratively with clinical and non-clinical departments, and department leadership in the design, implementation and use of hospital systems related to Community Health operations, clinical initiatives and provider/staff efficiencies. The nurse assists with regulatory readiness, survey preparation and acts as a resource during survey visits.

Requirements

  • Minimum of four years clinical nursing experience.
  • Current licensure with the California Board of Registered Nursing.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • Current ACLS certification.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's or master’s degree in nursing.
  • Two years acute care clinical nursing experience.
  • Three years hospital or health care setting experience in case/quality/risk or utilization management.
  • Recent experience and/or service on organizational committees.
