About The Position

Conducts eligibility evaluations and prepares related documentation for DBE and Small Business Enterprise (SBE) certification programs. Provides technical support and outreach under general supervision in compliance with federal and state requirements. Employees and/or union members will be given priority consideration in the hiring process, per the applicable labor contracts. Final salary will be determined in part by the qualifications of the selected candidate and may be higher or lower than target. Applicants, if hired,must comply with CTA's residency ordinance. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Public Administration, Accounting, or related field, plus one (1) year of experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Valid State of Illinois Driver’s License.
  • In-depth knowledge of DBE/SBE compliance requirements and document review techniques.
  • Financial document analysis experience preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and presentation skills.
  • Ability to independently manage case files and sensitive data.

Responsibilities

  • Analyzes vendor financials and documentation to determine DBE/SBE eligibility.
  • Prepares documentation for approvals, removals, and hearings. Tracks and documents the certification process.
  • Conducts on-site visits for DBE/SBE eligibility verification.
  • Participates in outreach efforts and provides technical assistance to vendors.
  • Offers guidance on application requirements, DBE policies, and portal use.
  • Performs related duties as assigned.
