About The Position

PRIMARY PURPOSE: As a Conference Coordinator, you will be responsible for the administrative duties of the department. Position: Hourly, Full-time Location: Gold Strike Casino Responsibilities PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Handles ordering of office supplies for the department. Answers telephone and assist with customer inquiries. Completes detailed inquiry call log and provides information to the appropriate manager. Files paperwork for assigned department. Inputs banquet check information into Delphi booking system. Confirm Banquet charges for accounting. Distributes pop-up Banquet Event Order (BEO) and change logs to appropriate department. Responsible for customer follow-up calls prior to scheduled event. Distributes daily and weekly reports to assigned departments. Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • One (1) year of administrative assistance experience.
  • Knowledge of Delphi system.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, concisely, and logically in a timely manner and at an appropriate level, while maintaining confidentiality.
  • Ability to make sound decisions immediately without supervision.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Perception and awareness of individual needs and the ability to handle all situations calmly and professionally.
  • Ability to multi-task and work well in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Proficiency in computer software including Outlook, MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint as well as office equipment, i.e., telephone, copier, fax machine.
  • Excellent organizational skills to function effectively under time constraints and within established deadlines, with particular attention to detail.
  • Effective listening abilities with strong judgment skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with all business contacts.
