As the Cardiovascular Services Coordinator, you are responsible for patient scheduling, coordinates information flow within assigned areas, oversees clerical operations in Cardiovascular Services, acts as Records and Retention Coordinator and serves as a resource to staff. The Coordinator is also the point person for processing of health information between the referring office and health information management (HIM). The coordinator uses open, professional communication (verbal, non-verbal, and written) to directly interact with physicians, patients, guests and other health team members. The Coordinator demonstrates organizational and time management skills, ability to work with and without supervision, provides quality work, meets productivity expectations, accepts change, prioritizes and is capable of multitasking. The individual assists the Director /Manager/Supervisors in ensuring day-to-day operations of Cardiovascular Services and meets required deadlines. This position works closely with other healthcare team members to facilitate exceptional patient care, while also promoting optimal unit operations. The Cardiovascular Services Coordinator adheres to the customer service standards while maintaining a clean, efficient, and safe work environment.
