The Coordinator, Business Operations position at Baylor College of Medicine is a part-time role focused on supporting the operational and financial needs of the Division of Cardiothoracic Transplant Surgery. The coordinator will assist with various tasks including insurance verification, marketing efforts, and analyzing physician referral patterns to enhance outreach opportunities.

  • Serve as the point of contact for all Chronic Thromboembolic Pulmonary Hypertension (CTEPH) patients.
  • Oversee business development for adult cardiac, including outreach tasks to increase physician referrals and manage social media and marketing initiatives.
  • Manage the insurance process for the division through verification of consults, studies, and surgical approvals.
  • Draft, organize, and send out letters for referring physicians.
  • Manage faculty credentialing, reappointments, and license renewals.
  • Review and ensure budget control by managing faculty CME, travel, and expense reports.
  • Take inventory of clinic supplies and order supplies as needed.
  • Ensure ongoing research protocols for Division Faculty are kept up to date through training and re-credentialing.
  • Coordinate meetings, events, retreats, and other functions.
  • Provide additional support to faculty and Division Administrator as needed.
  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Two years of relevant experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
