The Coordinator, Baseball Technology and Video will be responsible for the day-to-day management and operations of all baseball technology and baseball tracking systems. This role will collaborate with Baseball Analytics, Performance Science, Baseball Systems, Player Development and Coaching Staffs to ensure data from these systems is collected, processed, and managed to optimize performance.

  • Responsible for all baseball technology day-to-day operations. Technology includes but is not limited to Hawk-Eye, Trackman, Trajekt and Catapult.
  • Coordinate and operate Hawk-Eye systems as needed, particularly the Lakeland Backfield system used frequently for non-game events. Ensure full system functionality and accurate data collection for all captures.
  • Work closely with the Manager, Technology and Video to ensure all data from all systems is accurately captured, processed and delivered in a timely manner. Investigate data quality issues where needed.
  • Manage the operations of Catapult throughout the organization, ensuring that data collection is thorough and adheres to established protocols. Establish regular system checks, provide training to relevant staff, and develop best practices to maintain data integrity and facilitate seamless integration with other performance tracking technologies.
  • Central point of contact for all technology and tracking system operations with the responsibility of ensuring data quality and supporting user needs. Trouble shoot problems with technology providers and users as needed.
  • Responsible for the management of Performance Science Lab, ensuring all technology is maintained to the highest standard.
  • Complete ad-hoc analysis and generate reports as directed, deriving applied insights from the data to assist the development and performance goals across the organization.
  • The ideal candidate must have excellent knowledge of general baseball concepts.
  • The ideal candidate must have excellent communication skills. The ability to communicate and resolve issues is critical.
  • Previous experience using Hawk-Eye, KinaTrax, Trackman, Catapult and other baseball technology is preferred but not required.
  • Practical experience in SQL or similar languages for database queries and understanding of database design principles.
  • Practical experience with R/Python or similar software and languages for statistical analysis and visual presentation.
  • The ideal candidate must have excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • The ideal candidate must be willing to work long hours, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • The candidate must be available full-time.
  • Willing and able to relocate to the Lakeland, FL area.
