The Coordinating Manager for the Behavioral Health Administration at NYC Health + Hospitals is responsible for the day-to-day administration of the Prison Health Outpatient Clinic. This role involves tracking and reporting data, troubleshooting issues related to processes and patient flow, and coordinating with various departments including the Department of Corrections (DOC), Correctional Health Services (CHS), and multi-disciplinary clinical teams. The position also includes oversight of administrative employees, ensuring compliance with electronic medical record standards, and participating in various meetings and audits. The manager will act as a liaison for the clinic and support the Senior Associate Director with special projects as needed.

  • Manage day-to-day administration of the Prison Health Outpatient Clinic.
  • Track and report requested data and troubleshoot issues related to processes and patient flow.
  • Coordinate with DOC, CHS, and other in-house departments.
  • Assist in arranging approval for access to the clinic for visitors and vendors.
  • Conduct administrative rounds on Prison Health Outpatient Services.
  • Document and report facilities and environment of care requests.
  • Participate in Infection Control and Safety Rounds.
  • Supervise and manage administrative employees of the clinic.
  • Oversee time and leave for direct reports.
  • Provide administrative oversight for electronic medical records.
  • Attend meetings and represent the Prison Health Outpatient Service.
  • Ensure policies and procedures are up to date.
  • Act as Revenue Capture Point Person for the clinic.
  • A Baccalaureate Degree in Public Health, Public Administration, Business Administration, Social Work, Psychology, or Rehabilitation Counseling.
  • Three years of full-time experience in a medically-oriented health care environment, with two years in an administrative or supervisory capacity.
  • Alternatively, a Master's Degree in the relevant disciplines with two years of experience and one year in an administrative or supervisory capacity.
  • A satisfactory equivalent combination of training, education, and experience may also be acceptable.
  • Certification or licensure may be required.
  • Competitive salary of $66,285.00.
