The Coordinating Manager Lv A is charged with and responsible for various functions under general supervision with moderate latitude for independent initiative and judgment. This role involves overseeing the activities of professional and non-professional staff in delivering health therapy programs and support services, including physical, occupational, inhalation specialties, radiological, laboratory, emergency, and ambulatory care services. The manager coordinates rehabilitation services to integrate these programs with other health care settings to maximize patient treatment and recovery. Additionally, the role includes planning, controlling, and coordinating administrative and office operations while ensuring compliance with predetermined standards for quality care. The manager acts as a liaison between the Department of Medical Services and other administrative divisions, provides administrative supervision for a comprehensive health service program, and participates in budgetary planning and cost studies. The position also involves supervising studies related to the service/program, directing the processing of medically prescribed orders, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures, and representing the Department Administrator in external contacts.

  • Consult with medical and professional staff to plan and coordinate joint patient and management objectives.
  • Provide administrative supervision for a program of comprehensive health service.
  • Plan, develop, and conduct training programs for staff.
  • Allocate staff based on workload, space, and available equipment.
  • Participate in budgetary planning and prepare department budgets.
  • Supervise studies related to the service/program and implement recommendations.
  • Coordinate research projects and conduct special studies to evaluate rehabilitative programs.
  • Direct the processing of medically prescribed orders for equipment and medical supplies.
  • Ensure compliance manuals are current and policies are followed.
  • Supervise office administration and record-keeping activities.
  • Responsible for employee supervision and development.
  • Master's degree in Public Health, Public Administration, Business Administration, Social Work, Psychology, or Rehabilitation Counseling and one year of full-time experience in a medically-oriented health care environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in the aforementioned disciplines and two years of full-time experience in a medically-oriented health care environment.
  • A satisfactory equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience.
  • Experience with audits HMS, Cycle audits, and IPRO initial and technical denials.
  • Experience in specialty billing, ADAP, VA, or other government programs.
