About The Position

The Coordinating Directors of Global Health & Research Partnerships advance the BYU School of Medicine’s (BYU MED) mission-aligned global health portfolio by developing, vetting, and sustaining durable partnerships with governmental agencies, NGOs, academic collaborators, faith-based organizations, and community leaders in resource-limited and underserved populations. These partnerships are the foundation of a participatory, locally-led approach that emphasizes equitable cocreation, community-led implementation, capacity building and empowerment, and long-term sustainability. Directors will be part of a group of faculty mentor-investigators who supervise students in participatory and implementation science research within the School of Medicine’s four Strategic Research Initiatives (SRIs)—Maternal, Newborn, & Child Health; Infectious Diseases & Immunization; Sustainable Surgery & Health Systems; and Noncommunicable Diseases.
