Job Summary: Responsible for computerized scheduling and clerical duties of the respiratory department. This person will help coordinate with the supervisors and staff to help appropriately adjust schedules. Will also complete supply orders along with ensuring units have adequate supply for each shift. Demonstrate respect, dignity, kindness and empathy in each encounter with all patients, families, visitors and other employees regardless of cultural background. Job Description: Daily assessment of stock needs across the Edgewood facility and stock ordering daily. Assist with ordering stock for the Medical ICU, Surgical ICU, Cardiac ICU, Emergency room, Neonatal ICU, and Cardiac recovery based on needs. Putting away stock and assessing units for needs. Increasing stock due to acuity and patient needs Communicating with staff on schedules regarding movement, changes, PTO, and/or overtime. Assist supervisors in balancing schedule on Kronos for Edgewood, Florence, Fort Thomas, Grant, and Covington. Reach out to staff regarding extra shift needs and adding to the schedule. Coordinate with supervisors about changes made to the schedule. Input PTO to Kronos schedule. Coordinate with supervisors for current and future scheduling needs. Attending weekly staffing meetings and frequent communication with supervisors over current and future scheduling needs. Daily assessment of Respiratory needs/staffing across the system Communicating with supervisors of additional respiratory needs for staffing. Helping with communication of staffing regarding call offs or increased acuity. Adjusting staffing needs from one facility to another. Understanding ventilator/Bipap counts for the facility. Updating staffing boards for respiratory department. Daily assessment of Respiratory workload numbers Running daily report for workloads of each department to understand staffing needs for upcoming shift. Running report in EPIC to send out daily huddle report for respiratory department- individual facility workload numbers with ventilator counts. Understanding respiratory minimums for each facility. Demonstrates effective interpersonal working relationships and works cooperatively with others. Maintains confidentiality of position acquired information. Ensures oral and written directives are effectively and efficiently completed. Performs other duties as assigned to facilitate the efficient and cost-effective operation of the Respiratory Care Department.
