About The Position

The Perioperative Service Line Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the coordination of care for patients undergoing the designated service line specialty. This position educates, and trains the team members associated with the designated specialty to include the nurses and surgical technologists. Assists in maintenance of service line equipment, instruments and supplies by working closely with the leaders in those areas. Functions as a value analysis liaison between the surgeons and the materials management facilitator. The Perioperative Service Line Coordinator will engage in quality improvement initiatives as deemed appropriate by the leadership team. Coordination of the daily surgical schedule (Charge Nurse) will be assigned as needed. May also be assigned to other procedures when designated service line volumes are low.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited school of nursing.
• Licensed to practice nursing in the state of Florida.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
• One (1) year of OR Nurse experience.

Nice To Haves

• MSN degree.
• 3-5 years’ operating room experience as a circulating nurse in designated specialty.
• Demonstrated leadership ability and collaborative skills.
• Basic knowledge of data collection and research protocols.
