About The Position

The Perioperative Cardiothoracic-Vascular procedures Service Line Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the coordination of care for patients undergoing cardiothoracic-vascular procedures.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Licensed to practice nursing in the state of Florida
• BLS from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• Certified Nurse Operating Room (CNOR) certification within three years of hire or transfer
• 1-2 years of OR experience
• Perioperative nurse skills
• Demonstrate basic knowledge of data collection, research protocols, etc.
• Demonstrated leadership ability and collaborative skills

Responsibilities

• Educate and train team members associated with the designated specialty, including nurses and surgical technologists
• Assist in the maintenance of service line equipment, instruments, and supplies by working closely with leaders in those areas
• Function as a value analysis liaison between surgeons and the materials management facilitator
• Engage in quality improvement initiatives as deemed appropriate by the leadership team
• Coordinate the daily surgical schedule (Charge Nurse) as needed
• May also be assigned to other procedures when designated service line volumes are low
