About The Position

The position is focused on delivering quality diabetes self-management education through a coordinated and systematic process. The role ensures accountability and continuity of the education process, catering to a diverse patient demographic including adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients.

Requirements

• BS in Nutrition or Nursing
• Current professional license in the State of Florida
• Current professional registration for registered dietitians
• Certified Diabetes Educator required within one (1) year of date of hire or transfer into the position
• Organizational skills
• Written and verbal communication skills
• Decision making skills
• Stress management skills
• Prioritization skills
• 1 year of experience in Diabetes Management and Self-Management Education, Teaching experience, or RN Clinical Experience

Nice To Haves

• Master's in nutrition or nursing
• Less than one year of experience in Diabetes Management and Self-Management Education
• 1-2 years of teaching experience
• 3-5 years of clinical experience
