About The Position

The Tactical Data Links On Site Support Technician will be responsible for providing Onboard Maintenance Training (OBMT) to Ship's Force technicians. This role involves the operation, repair, maintenance, and logistics support of the Cooperative Engagement Capability (CEC) variants, specifically the AN/USG-2 and AN/USG-2B systems. The technician will work with various equipment including the CP-2702/USG-2B Signal Data Processor (SDP), CV-4448/USG Power Distribution Media Converter (PDMC), C-12512/USG-2 Data Processing Terminal (DPT), and several other critical components. In addition to training, the technician will provide support during shipboard Combat Systems tasks. This includes participation in Combat Systems, Command, Control, Communications and Computer Readiness Assessment (C5RA), Combat System Post Availability Trials (CSPAT), Combat System Ship Qualification Trial (CSSQT), Integrated Comprehensive Monitoring Program (ICMP), Total Ship Readiness Assessment (TSRA), Board of Inspection and Survey (INSURV) programs, and Tech Assist events. The role demands the ability to deliver rapid results in a high-pressure environment to meet the ship's mission requirements. Candidates should possess specialized experience, ideally holding Navy Enlisted Classification Codes (NEC) such as V39A or V51A, with a minimum of two years of experience in troubleshooting and repairing equipment relevant to these classifications. An Associate's Degree in a related technical discipline or equivalent experience is also required. The position is full-time, with a scheduled weekly hour commitment of 40 hours and minimal travel requirements of less than 10%.
