The Co-op will report directly to the Sr. Scientist. This position is located at our Watertown, MA site. The Co-op assignment will end on June 26, 2026.

Requirements

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to work independently and in a team.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Currently pursuing a PhD or Masters Degree

Nice To Haves

  • A background in thermodynamics, polymorphism, crystallization, API, and formulation process development is preferred.
  • Familiarity with laboratory techniques and instrumentation is a plus.
  • Preferred Field(s) of Study: Materials Science, Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support ongoing projects in Formulation Development R&D team.
  • Assist in the preparation of samples for pre-formulation studies and solid-state characterization.
  • Conduct experiments to evaluate the physicochemical properties of drug candidates, including solubility, stability, and polymorphism.
  • Perform solid-state characterization techniques such as X-ray powder diffraction (XRPD), differential scanning calorimetry (DSC), and thermal gravimetric analysis (TGA).
  • Document and analyze experimental data, contributing to reports and presentations.
  • Single crystal growth.
  • Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot experimental challenges and optimize methodologies
  • Maintain laboratory equipment and ensure compliance with safety protocols.
