About The Position
Okie Staffing is currently hiring experienced Cooks to support high-volume hospitality clients, including events, catering, and resort-style environments. If you take pride in quality food, fast-paced kitchens, and being part of a strong team—this is a great opportunity.
Requirements
- Culinary training or trade certification preferred
- ServSafe Certification (or ability to obtain)
- Ability to communicate effectively in English with guests, supervisors, and team members
- Minimum of 3 years of cooking experience in a professional kitchen
- Strong knowledge of food safety, handling, and sanitation standards
Nice To Haves
- Experience in high-volume or hospitality environments preferred
- Background in culinary competitions or advanced training is a plus
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items with consistency and attention to detail
- Assist with food production for restaurants, catering, and events
- Follow recipes, prep sheets, and portion standards
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen
- Ensure proper food storage, labeling, and rotation (FIFO)
- Support team members and communicate effectively during service
- Uphold food safety and workplace safety standards
