The Cookie Program Product Coordinator at Girl Scouts of Western Ohio is a pivotal role that involves managing full-cycle projects related to the Cookie Program. This position requires the Coordinator to coordinate, implement, and partner with volunteers to deliver the Product Program effectively. The Coordinator will support the signature product programs by recruiting and providing daily coordination and support for community and troop volunteers, as well as managing cookie distribution and regional data to monitor and improve results. In this role, the Coordinator will be responsible for project management, which includes managing program strategies to increase girl engagement and participation. The Coordinator will coordinate multiple projects while managing conflicting priorities and deadlines, formulating short- and long-term project goals, objectives, schedules, and priorities in line with the organization's goals. They will also anticipate issues, obstacles, or opportunities that may impact plans or actions and establish courses of action for accomplishing goals while incorporating information obtained during day-to-day administrative tasks. Monitoring and tracking product inventory levels, progress, and performance will be essential, as well as coordinating with Cookie and Fall Product vendors to ensure timely delivery of products. The Coordinator will communicate progress reports to the Product Program team and other internal departments and troubleshoot any issues that arise throughout the program cycle. Volunteer coordination is another critical aspect of this role. The Coordinator will communicate with regional distribution sites to support troops, including recruiting and managing volunteers that enable the Programs to be dispersed to the troops. Customer service skills are vital, as the Coordinator will manage difficult or emotional customer situations, respond promptly to customer needs, solicit feedback to improve service, and meet commitments. Problem-solving skills are also necessary, as the Coordinator must recognize when immediate action is required and make decisions confidently based on sufficient information. The position requires a full-time commitment, primarily Monday through Friday, with regular evening and occasional weekend work during peak Program months. This is an in-the-field position requiring regular travel to assigned geographic areas of the council.
