Responsibilities

  • Set up and break down work stations
  • Maintain a clean and sanitary work station
  • Cook and prepare food according to production guidelines and recipes
  • Ensure food is stored at the appropriate temperature and follows all food safety standards
  • Label and store food correctly for use within the appropriate timeframe
  • Complete daily temperature logs
  • Know methods of food preparation, cooking times, and portion sizes
  • Evaluate proper execution of recipes by tasting prepared items
  • Reduce food waste and track waste in designated bins
  • Cut, trim, bone, and carve meats and poultry for cooking
  • Use correct portions when cutting, preparing, and serving items
