About The Position

Cooks provide assistance to the Food Service Director in planning, organizing, developing and directing the comprehensive operation of the dietary department. This position is responsible for training and supervising production and kitchen personnel.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Food Service Director in planning and organizing the dietary department operations.
  • Train and supervise production and kitchen personnel.
  • Prepare and portion various food items with the highest quality.
  • Wrap, label, and date prepared food items for storage.
  • Receive, store, and rotate supplies as delivered.
  • Prepare meals in accordance with planned menus.
  • Check food storage areas daily to ensure proper food rotation.
  • Perform general and assigned sanitation duties in the kitchen and dining areas in compliance with sanitary, health, and safety regulations.
