About The Position

Desert View Care Center is seeking a PRN (as-needed) Dietary Aide / Cook to join our team in Buhl, Idaho. In this flexible role, you'll support both meal preparation and kitchen service , helping ensure residents receive nutritious, well-prepared meals in a clean and welcoming environment. Your work plays an important role in the daily experience and overall well-being of our residents. Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Food Handler's Permit required
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Ability to follow instructions and work efficiently in a fast-paced setting
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn
• Passion for working in food service and supporting others

Nice To Haves

• Previous cooking or food service experience preferred (high-volume environment a plus)

Responsibilities

• Assisting with meal preparation and cooking
• Supporting timely meal service for residents
• Preparing food according to menus and dietary guidelines
• Serving meals and assisting with tray setup
• Cleaning and sanitizing kitchen, dining, and food prep areas
• Organizing and storing food deliveries
• Monitoring food safety, cleanliness, and storage standards
• Assisting with kitchen inspections and maintaining compliance
• Supporting dishwashing and general kitchen operations as needed
