SUMMARY OF POSITION In accordance with the mission and values of The Village of St. Edward, the Cook is responsible for all aspects of food preparation including prep, cooking, baking, slicing, roasting, etc. in accordance with state regulations. Will prepare meals from scratch and keep accurate inventory control.

Requirements

  • High School education or equivalent (Strong English and Math background needed).
  • One (1) year experience in Nursing Home/Hospital type setting as a cook preferred
  • Servsafe required or obtained when hired
  • Must have reliable transportation
  • Able to comprehend written and verbal instructions.
  • Able to perform basic math calculations, i.e. weights, temperatures, fractions, measurements, etc.
  • Able to measure solids and liquids according to recipe specifications.

Nice To Haves

  • One (1) year experience in Nursing Home/Hospital type setting as a cook preferred
