Requirements

  • Previous cooking experience, preferably in healthcare, senior living, or hospitality settings.
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards.
  • Attention to detail and a passion for preparing high-quality meals.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.
  • Creativity, reliability, and a positive attitude.
  • Ability to speak and read English.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook meals according to planned menus, recipes, and dietary requirements.
  • Ensure food is presented attractively and served at the appropriate temperature.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen and work area at all times.
  • Follow all food safety, sanitation, and infection control policies and procedures.
  • Monitor food inventory and assist with receiving and storing deliveries.
  • Collaborate with dietary staff to accommodate special diets and resident requests.
  • Assist in cleaning dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and residents to ensure a positive dining experience.
  • Adhere to all regulatory and organizational standards.
