About The Position

Northern Mahaska Specialty Care, a 79-bed long-term care skilled nursing community in Oskaloosa, IA, is seeking a compassionate Cook. This role involves providing comprehensive care by contributing to menu planning, meal preparation, and serving nutritious, well-balanced, and attractively presented meals. The Cook will ensure an enjoyable and dignified dining experience for residents, adhering to nutritional guidelines, resident preferences, dietary requirements, and food safety standards. The position also involves developing positive, respectful relationships with residents and incorporating their feedback into meal service.

Requirements

• Demonstrated skills in quantity food preparation and service.
• Willingness to complete training in Food, Safety, Sanitation and Modified Diets.

• Experience in a healthcare dietary setting a plus!
