About The Position

The Staff Pad has partnered with Unity Medical Center to hire a Cook for their Dietary Services team. This role is responsible for preparing meals, maintaining sanitary kitchen conditions, and supporting overall food service operations to ensure a positive experience for patients, staff, and visitors.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
• At least 1 year of food service experience preferred
• Basic math skills and ability to follow recipes
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work in a fast -paced environment and handle multiple tasks

Responsibilities

• Prepare and produce high -quality food following menus and recipes
• Prepare hot and cold food items as directed
• Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and temperature regulations
• Deliver and retrieve food carts and late trays
• Serve food in the cafeteria as needed
• Stock and organize food and kitchen supplies
• Clean and maintain all kitchen areas, including dish room, equipment, and storage spaces
• Monitor food temperatures and maintain proper documentation
• Follow written and verbal instructions with minimal supervision
• Promote a positive and professional environment with patients, staff, and visitors
• Comply with all organizational policies and safety standards
