About The Position

Harney District Hospital of Burns, OR is looking to hire a full-time Cook to join the Dietary Team. This position starts at $17.37 and increases based on experience. We also offer exceptional full-time benefits, including $1,065/month towards medical, vision, & dental, a 401(K) retirement plan, a PERS (public employee retirement system) plan, and up to 200 hours of paid time off (PTO) per year. JOB QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS: Knowledge of food preparation and handling techniques and food safety requirements, basic math skills, general record keeping methods, ability to read and write in English language. Equivalent to a high school education, or any satisfactory combination of experience and training which demonstrates the knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the above duties. SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS/LICENSES: Must possess Oregon Foodhandlers card within 30 days of appointment. We will help you obtain your card. DESIRABLE REQUIREMENTS: Previous cooking experience in an institutional or similar environment. Possession of Oregon Foodhandlers card at time of appointment. Knowledge of basic computer skills, or ability to learn. WORK SCHEDULE The position will work 40-hours per week, and may include weekends and evenings.
