About The Position

Sheraton Galleria, Atlanta is a beautifully renovated hotel, ideally located just minutes from Truist Park, home of the Atlanta Braves. As a Cook , you will play a key role in ensuring our guests receive fresh, well-prepared meals while working in a newly renovated and energetic environment.

Requirements

  • One (1) year of cooking or kitchen experience preferred.
  • Must be available to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  • Knowledge of basic cooking techniques, food preparation, and kitchen equipment.
  • Must have knowledge of applicable Federal, state, and local health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • High school education preferred; relevant training and experience required.
  • Ability to timely obtain any required licenses or certifications (e.g., food handler permit).

Nice To Haves

  • CPR and first aid training preferred.
  • Additional language ability preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes, portion control, and presentation standards.
  • Ensure all food is prepared and served in compliance with StepStone and hotel quality standards.
  • Follow all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines, including proper food handling and storage procedures.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen stations, equipment, and storage areas.
  • Complete opening and closing duties, including setup, breakdown, and cleaning of kitchen areas.
  • Monitor food quality, freshness, and temperatures throughout service.
  • Assist with food prep, stocking, and inventory as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with service staff to ensure timely and accurate food service.
  • Notify the manager immediately of any food safety concerns, equipment issues, or guest complaints.
  • Practice and observe all safety rules and procedures.
  • Assist other kitchen and service team members with duties as requested.
