About The Position
Apalachee Center, Inc. is best known for helping individuals and families of North Florida succeed in recovering from emotional, psychiatric, and substance abuse crises. Apalachee Center, Inc. provides comprehensive behavioral health services across 8 counties (Franklin, Gadsden, Jefferson, Leon, Liberty, Madison, Taylor, and Wakulla Counties). Overview: Serve as a cook and performing general food preparation and cooking duties, and food service sanitation duties.
Requirements
- Prior food service experience preferred.
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
- Must pass drug screen and level 2 background check.
Responsibilities
- Performs cooking and food preparation duties including therapeutic diets.
- Serves meals to clients.
- Determines portions to be cooked (production).
- Maintains the work area, washes and sanitizes dishes, utensils, pots, pans, counter tops and other equipment used in meal preparation.
- Completes appropriate labeling of trays and paying close attention to diet needs.
