About The Position
At Home Again Assisted Living, the Cook plays a vital role in creating a comforting and joyful environment for residents by preparing delicious, home-style meals. This full-time position, with consistent hours from 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM, goes beyond just food preparation; it's about crafting moments of happiness and nourishment. The cook is responsible for adhering to residents' dietary needs, maintaining a spotless kitchen to health standards, and occasionally preparing special meals for events. The role emphasizes being an essential part of residents' daily lives within a positive, family-like team culture.
Requirements
- A warm, dependable person who enjoys working with older adults.
- Experience in food prep or cooking (professional or personal).
- A calm, flexible attitude - you're steady even when it's busy.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- At least 18 years of age.
- Successfully pass a background check and drug screening prior to employment.
Responsibilities
- Prepare delicious, home-style meals that nourish and delight our residents.
- Follow residents' dietary needs and doctor/nutritionist recommendations.
- Keep the kitchen spotless and organized to meet safety and health standards.
