AC Hotel Palo Alto invites discerning travelers to experience hospitality with a European soul. As part of the esteemed AC Hotel brand, our property blends minimalist elegance with intuitive service in the heart of Silicon Valley. With thoughtfully designed spaces, curated amenities, and a passion for detail, our hotel is a haven for both business and leisure guests seeking a stay beyond the ordinary. We are currently seeking a detail-driven, passionate Cook who thrive in a fast-paced environment and take pride in delivering consistent quality with every plate.

Requirements

  • Thrive in high-energy kitchens and value teamwork and communication
  • Have strong knife skills and confidence using both small and large kitchen equipment
  • Bring knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and proper handling procedures
  • Can follow standardized recipes while maintaining speed and accuracy
  • Show initiative, reliability, and leadership under pressure
  • Are willing to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays

Nice To Haves

  • Have prior experience in a fast-paced or upscale kitchen (preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Preparing breakfast, lunch, or dinner items with precision and consistency
  • Executing dishes across various cooking techniques: roasting, broiling, baking, frying, steaming, and more
  • Following recipes and portion standards with a meticulous eye for quality
  • Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment
  • Operating kitchen equipment with care and adhering to all safety protocols
  • Ensuring proper storage, rotation, temperature control, and sanitation
  • Supporting the culinary team by supervising prep staff and promoting a culture of excellence
  • Identifying hazards and communicating proactively with leadership
  • Taking initiative in daily operations and staying agile during high-volume service periods
