About The Position

Looking for a stable, full-time cook position with a consistent schedule and meaningful work? A to Z Building Blocks is hiring a Childcare Cook to prepare nutritious meals in a positive early childhood education environment.

Pay and Schedule
$16.25/hour
Full-time position
Monday–Friday
7:00 AM – 4:00 PM
No nights or weekends

As a Childcare Cook, you play a key role in supporting children’s health and daily success.

Requirements

• Must be 21 years of age or older
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Ability to pass a background check
• Food Handler Permit (or ability to obtain)
• Ability to work independently and stay organized
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs

Nice To Haves

• Cooking or kitchen experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Prepare healthy meals and snacks for children
• Follow menus and standardized recipes
• Cook, serve, and safely store food
• Maintain a clean and organized kitchen
• Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines
• Wash dishes and assist with kitchen upkeep
• Track inventory and restock supplies
• Grocery shop weekly
• Assist with transportation for our school age children
