About The Position
The Cook position at Geisinger Bloomsburg Hospital involves preparing food for patients, employees, visitors, and special functions. The role requires maintaining a customer service approach at all times. Responsibilities include preparing breakfast, lunch, and dinner using standardized recipes and methods, documenting food preparation and usage, and adhering to all quality, safety, and sanitation standards, ensuring proper wrapping, storage, and labeling of items during all production phases. This is a regular, full-time position with 40 scheduled weekly hours, requiring weekend and holiday rotation. New hires are eligible for a sign-on bonus.
Requirements

Nice To Haves

- Minimum of 2 years-Food Service experience
- Prior experience (food prep, serving, cleaning, customer service)
Responsibilities
- Prepares food for patients, employees, visitors and special functions.
- Maintains a customer service approach at all times when fulfilling responsibilities.
- Prepares breakfast, lunch and dinner foods using standardized recipes and methods of preparation.
- Documents preparation and usage of food according to established standards.
- Maintains all quality, safety, and sanitation standards making sure all items are wrapped and stored and labeled properly during all phases of production.
- Accountable for satisfying all job specific obligations and complying with all organization policies and procedures.
