About The Position

Creative Dining Services is looking for a full-time Cook at Indiana University South Bend. The Cook works within the Dining Services Department to ensure that high quality, properly seasoned, nutritious food is being provided throughout the operation, in a fiscally responsible and safe manner. Works cooperatively as a valued member of the dining services team, assisting with any aspect of the dining services program necessary and helping to provide a welcoming and enjoyable dining experience for everyone on the IUSB campus. Requirements

Minimum of 2 years cooking experience

Nice To Haves

High School diploma or equivalent preferred but not required
ServSafe Certification

Responsibilities

Prepare food items according to established recipes and menus in a manner in which preserves food freshness, quality and appeal
Utilize batch cooking techniques to avoid over or under production
Utilize safe food handling, holding and storage techniques at all times
Maintain a clean, safe work environment at all times
Support other kitchen employees in assuring that the essential functions of the kitchen are performed adequately and appropriately
