About The Position
Make a difference every day through food. Haven Memory Care, part of Community Senior Life, is seeking a dependable and compassionate Cook to join our team. In this role, you’ll do more than prepare meals—you’ll help create comfort, routine, and joy for our residents. Your work plays a key role in supporting the health and well-being of seniors living with memory care needs. We’re looking for someone who takes pride in quality, understands the importance of consistency, and enjoys working in a team-focused, mission-driven environment.
Requirements
- Experience in a professional kitchen or food service setting
- Ability to follow recipes and safety guidelines
- Strong attention to cleanliness and organization
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical kitchen tasks
- Effective communication skills
Nice To Haves
- Experience in healthcare, senior living, or institutional food service
- Knowledge of modified or therapeutic diets (low sodium, diabetic, etc.)
- Food safety certification
- Team-oriented mindset with a willingness to support others
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook meals according to approved menus and dietary guidelines
- Ensure food quality, taste, and presentation meet our standards
- Follow all food safety and sanitation regulations
- Support kitchen organization, cleanliness, and daily operations
- Work closely with team members to accommodate special dietary needs
- Assist with inventory and proper storage of food and supplies
