About The Position

Crossroads is an Arizona Department of Health Services licensed substance abuse treatment provider with proven expertise in serving men, women, and Veterans with Substance Use Disorder through the provision of high quality, successful, and affordable residential and outpatient recovery programs. Due to federal contracts the following items are prohibited: Medical/Recreational marijuana, current parole, or probation. The Cook is responsible for maintaining a safe and healthy kitchen and preparing healthy, nutritional meals for guests, clients, and staff.

Requirements

• Current CPR/First Aid/Narcan training.
• Current and annual negative TB Test.
• Successfully pass a background check and an Arizona Department of Health Services Adult Protective Services check.
• Possess a current Food Handlers Card.
• Demonstrated strong organizational skills.
• Provide strong leadership qualities as well as problem solving skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively at multiple levels, both verbal and written.
• Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
• Ability to follow simple instructions.
• Valid AZ Driver’s License.

Nice To Haves

• Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check performed annually and upon hire, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare meals in accordance with instruction from the Food Services Director.
• Follow daily menus provided by the Food Services Director.
• Serve meals to clients, guests, and staff.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and healthy work area.
• Has working knowledge of and participates in Department of Health inspections.
• Operate cashless register including sales, debits, paid outs, and closeout balances.
• Perform other duties, as required.
