About The Position

Creative Dining Services is looking for a friendly, knowledgeable Cook with some exhibition-style skills to join our dining services team at Missouri Baptist University in St. Louis, MO. The Cook role works as a valued team member of the dining services department - ensuring that high quality, properly seasoned, nutritious food is being provided throughout the operation in a fiscally responsible and safe manner, and will be expected to work cooperatively with the rest of the dining services team, assisting with any aspect of the dining services program necessary. This role will require weekend daytime/evening availability involving meal prep and service and assisting in closing the kitchen after each shift. May also pick up weekday shifts as needed.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of proper food safety, food handling, storage and service techniques
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Action-station or exhibition-style cooking experience or comfortable cooking in front of the guests
  • Familiarity with batch cooking techniques and time management to avoid over/under production
  • Prior foodservice experience, at least 2 years preferred
  • High School Diploma or equivalent - preferred but not require
