The Cook is responsible for the delivery of food services to Centre clients. This role involves stocking and maintaining a continental breakfast, and preparing and serving lunch and evening meals from an approved menu. The Cook must ensure all food is properly labeled and stored, and that the kitchen and storage areas meet cleanliness guidelines and standards as outlined in regulatory statutes, contracts, and the FDA Food Code. Centre, Inc. is seeking individuals interested in culinary arts and food service to join their team, emphasizing that the Cook plays a vital role in meeting the basic needs of its clients. This position offers flexible hours and hands-on experience. Centre serves clients referred through various contracts, including the Federal Bureau of Prisons, United States Probation and Pretrial Services, North Dakota Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation, North Dakota Department of Human Services, and Veterans Affairs. Employees receive ongoing training in Core Correctional Practices, Motivational Interviewing, Nonviolent Crisis Prevention and Intervention, and other areas to develop professional skills, adhering to the American Correctional Association's (ACA) Expected Practices for Adult Community Residential Services standards.
