We’re looking for a dependable Cook who takes pride in food quality, teamwork, and maintaining a clean, organized kitchen. What You’ll Do As a Cook, you’ll play an important role in creating meals that support the health and happiness of our residents. Your responsibilities will include: Preparing and cooking meals according to menus and dietary guidelines Ensuring food quality, presentation, taste, and proper texture Monitoring and recording food temperatures during cooking and holding Maintaining proper food storage, rotation, and labeling practices Keeping the kitchen clean, safe, and organized throughout your shift Working with the dining services team to ensure equipment is functioning properly Assisting with food preparation for special meals, events, and celebrations Helping receive and store food deliveries when needed What We’re Looking For At least 1 year of cooking experience in a restaurant, healthcare kitchen, or similar environment General kitchen or dietary experience may be considered Food handler permit or required state certification Ability to follow recipes, instructions, and dietary guidelines Strong communication and teamwork skills A commitment to maintaining a safe and sanitary kitchen Education High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience Work Environment This role is based in a healthcare dining environment, serving residents in a skilled nursing or assisted living setting. You’ll be part of a team dedicated to providing meals that support residents’ comfort, health, and daily enjoyment.
